Bryan Anderson is Vice-President of Government Relations for HCA’s Eastern Group, which includes Florida, Georgia and the Carolinas. In this role, he provides executive strategy for state and federal legislative relations, public policy, political and charitable giving and external communication. From 1996 to 2003 he served as Director of Government Relations for the Eastern Group at the company’s corporate headquarters in Nashville, Tennessee.
HCA is the nation's leading provider of healthcare services, composed of locally managed facilities that include 170 hospitals and 113 outpatient centers in 20 states and England. At its founding in 1968, HCA was one of the nation's first hospital companies. HCA and its affiliates employ approximately 180,000 people nationally and internationally. In Florida, the company employs 45,000 people at its 40 hospitals, 33 surgery centers, and three division offices, making it the largest provider of health care in the state.
Prior to joining HCA, Mr. Anderson lived in New Orleans where he worked as Director of Legislative Affairs for Bailey Consulting, a multi-state political and business consulting firm specializing in initiative and referenda campaigns for corporate clients in the insurance, paper products and sugar industries. A veteran adviser to numerous state and federal campaigns, he previously served as Political Field Director for Alabama Governor Guy Hunt.
Mr. Anderson is a native of Ocala, FL and a graduate of Troy University with bachelor degrees in Political Science and Communication. In addition, he holds a Master of Arts degree in Political Science from Auburn University. He is a member of the Board of Governors and the Legislative Committee of the Federation of American Hospitals, the Health and Human Services Task Force of the American Legislative Exchange Council, and the Advisory Board of the Step Up For Students scholarship program.
He and his wife Lainie reside in Tallahassee with their three children, Reagan, Courtney and Zachary.
