Kathleen M. Shanahan is the Chair and Chief Executive Officer of WRScompass, an environmental management and civil construction company.
Ms. Shanahan has a distinguished background in business, politics and public service. Some of her many accomplishments include serving as a senior consultant to former New York Stock Exchange CEO John Thain, a senior executive in charge of public and community affairs at Paine Webber, and serving as chief of staff for Florida Governor Jeb Bush and then Vice President-elect Dick Cheney.
Ms. Shanahan is active on many public service and philanthropic boards, including Florida's State Board of Education, Florida Governor Charlie Crist's Energy Action Team, Florida Chamber of Commerce, The Florida Council of 100, Florida Coalition Against Domestic Violence, the Eckerd Youth Alternatives Board, and the Lincoln Center Institute Board.
Kathleen received an undergraduate degree in biochemistry from the University of California, San Diego and a masters of business administration from New York University Stern School of Business Management.
